Waypoint Cafe sits right on the airport grounds, drawing pilots and locals alike with hearty breakfast, burgers, and tri-tip grilled over oak fire.
Their lemon ricotta pancakes come hot off the griddle topped with fresh blueberries, and the old-fashioned milkshakes are made the real way—quality ice cream and milk, no shortcuts. The spicy bloody mary is their signature house recipe, and on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays the Santa Maria tri-tip Caesar salad is the draw. You can eat indoors or out on the cozy patio watching planes land and take off, or spread a blanket on the grass on nice days. Open Tuesday through Sunday, 8am to 3pm.
