Purrmaid Cafe and Adoption Center is a nonprofit cat cafe where you can hang out with adoptable cats while enjoying coffee and snacks.
Opened in 2019, it's run by Cat and Jeff Kent as a foster-based alternative to traditional shelter life. The cats live in a spacious room filled with toys, scratching posts, and beds, free to interact with visitors or retreat to private quarters as they choose. Visits cost $6 per person per half hour—reservations are strongly encouraged since capacity is limited. The whole point is adoption: their motto is "Goodbye is the goal." If you fall for one of the cats, adoptions run $150 and include an application, contract, and home check. They're also available for small private events.
